Project MUSAVVIR
Project Musavvir is a social entrepreneurship initiative under Enactus LSR that transforms traditional folk arts into a sustainable means of livelihood. In a world where craftsmanship is often overshadowed by mass production, we work to preserve and revitalize Madhubani and block printing while empowering women artisans. Rooted in a green circular economy and zero-waste principles, Musavvir bridges the gap between artisanal skill and modern markets. Our work extends beyond just selling handmade products—we cultivate financial independence, artistic excellence, and community-driven growth. Across Aya Nagar, Tigri, and Shastri Nagar, we collaborate with artisans to build marketable skills, enhance digital presence, and create high-quality products. With partners like MyLoktantra and Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti, we integrate economic education with creative expression, ensuring that traditional art remains a tool for empowerment. At Musavvir, we see every handcrafted piece tell a story—of resilience, heritage, and the transformation of art into opportunity.

Within 24 hours of entering the market, Musavvir generated ₹15,000 in revenue—validating the demand for handcrafted, sustainable products. This success led to a loved stay in the D2C markets and B2B collaborations, corporate orders, stalls, and partnerships with organizations like BCG, IIFT & FTI Consulting.

Collaborating with organizations like MyLoktantra and Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti, we integrated financial literacy and vocational training into our model. These partnerships have helped equip women with the tools to turn their art into a sustainable business.

Musavvir is launching Art Kits to create an immersive experience, allowing individuals to connect personally with India’s rich artistic heritage. These kits aim to make traditional art more accessible while providing artisans with an additional revenue stream.

To foster deeper engagement, Musavvir has introduced experiential workshops at cafes, where artisans interact with customers, teach traditional techniques, and create art in real-time. These workshops not only generate new income streams but also set the groundwork for long-term collaborations.
